Location types let you categorize your fulfillment locations. Use types in constraints and routing rules to target specific location categories.

How to set a location type

Go to Locations

Navigate to Charlie → Locations and select a location.

Open the menu

Click the ⋯ menu in the top right corner.

Edit location type

Select Edit location type.

Choose type and save

Select Warehouse or Store, then click Save.

Using types in rules

Once set, you can target locations by type in your constraints and routing rules. Example filters:
  • Location type → Warehouse — rule applies only to warehouses
  • Location type → Store — rule applies only to stores
Combine types with tags for more granular targeting. For example: type = Store + tag = “paris-region”.
